Hair today, gone tomorrow...

"The Hairdressers are open again"
Cattle are put out to graze in the water meadows at this time of year and there is a symbiotic relationship between them and the Jackdaws that live on the chalk cliff, at Cliffe, Lewes.
The 'beasts' are loosing their winter coats but cannot get the old fur out. For the Jackdaws who are nest building just now the unwanted hair is perfect to line their nests.
*They only do this while the customers are are at rest, that is generally early morning and it might only be a one day a year spectacle!
