Making a Film

Good morning all, I've been rather busy of late, actually for the last seven years, attempting the impossible with only entry level photographic equipment and no experience in film making!
Having accidently found myself on BBC Springwatch in 2016 here in Lewes with an unknown annual natural history event that I nicknamed a 'Mullet Murmuration' I was determined to do it again but the subject I chose was so difficult to record it was thought commercially unworthy as it would have meant a whole team of cameramen years on the beach for several months a year for several years, and maybe like me, seven years, as the rare weather condition required to see what I wanted to show you all, don't occur every year.
Unperturbed I went for it and am know at a stage where I have completed a 3 minute compressed version that I hope perhaps will be shown on SPRINGWATCH and enough material for a 45 minute documentary film that I hope to show at the DEPOT cinema in Lewes at the amateur film makers festival next Spring.
Here's a 1 minute taster of the 3 minute film for Springwatch;
and in case you haven't seen it, the link to the 2016 Springwatch piece. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03wwztx
