Fighting for your wife

Good afternoon all, look at what I saw yesterday.

Two cock Pheasants were acting very strangely on a hillside up on the Downs, when all hell broke loose and a hen pheasant appeared as a spectator!

This happens every spring but I've not had a chance to photograph it before now.

So, here's a ringside seat. and may the best man win.

...and the winner is... I've no idea!

I was there for half an hour sat in the grass so wandered off looking for orchids and an hour later they were still at it and it can last for days.
