What do Rooks and Herons have in common now? They are both breeding.

It's been a few years since I was granted permission to film these birds so I thought you all might like to see the results. At first I used a camera on an extending window cleaners pole but then moved on to a drone piloted by a very skilful young pilot. I thought perhaps the camera on a pole might disturb the bird but a parent heron didn't appear at all bothered and the small drone appeared to be viewed as nothing more than an unusual insect.

I may have another go one day as from a distance with binoculars I did see a pair of Buzzards taking chicks one day and although rather disturbing to watch , it would be extraordinary footage.

SightS very few have ever seen! Bye for now, Steve.
