Walks, talks and a Feeding frenzy

Good morning all, at last the sea is clear and calm again and just at the right time!

Every year along the South Coast between September and October there is a spectacular feeding frenzy to see. Larger shoals of Mackerel drive even larger shoals of whitebait against the shoreline to feast before heading back into the Atlantic for the winter. if you are lucky you might see Dolphins and Seals. One can never tell exactly when it will happen, nor how many times you might see it but in readiness I have been invited by the Newhaven Festival group to hold a series of Walks & Talks throughout September and October entitled 'Reconnect to Nature'

These will be an updated version of last year's talks 'The Living Shoreline' on site, starting at the top of the beach outside Seaford Sailing Club Seaford BN25 2QR

Each participant will have a Covid safe personal slide show in the form of A4 laminated photo sheets (that will be sanitised for re-use) showing some of the whole year's natural History events that I have photographed in this fascinating interface between land, sea and air where the Southdowns meet the shore between Newhaven and Seaford. I shall give tips and tricks for amateurs and professionals alike to get good shots on any camera or phone, to see things others don't and much more.

Follow the link below and simply email me at; steveswalksandtalks@gmail.com to book a place. The gentle walks and informal talks last an hour or so and the price is £5 per person payable on the day please. https://www.newhavenfestival.co.uk/whats-on

A further Walk & Talk has been requested by the Brighton based Homewood Bound festival on the 2nd of October (from the same venue) but was fully booked within days so I have added a second date, 3rd Oct 6pm. Again click on the link below for more info and just email me for a place and I'm very much looking forward to meeting you all, Steve
