Tree creeper nest building.

I spent a couple of hours sitting on a bank in Railway Land nature reserve Lewes yesterday, level with this .beautiful little bird who was nest building in a gap behind Ivy on a tree trunk.

Look carefully at the photo on the left and you will see little dried nettle stalks in the birds mouth. These are still about the place from last years nettles, just as reed stalks are. Tree creepers in broadleaf woodland like these as basic nest framework like that of Whitethroats and Blackcaps so I now nest building for this bird has only just begun. Hopefully I will get more photos this morning.
