The 'Living Shoreline' feeding frenzy.

I took this photo of a Mackerel chasing Whitebait though a breaking wave on Seaford beach yesterday. The wind was a stiff So'westerly for a while and on a rising tide during a feeding frenzy I was more than willing to put up with getting soaked as I haven't been there with a camera under these conditions for 10 yrs or more.
Over the last few days I have been photographing and videoing the spectacular annual feeding frenzy of Mackerel v Whitebait along the ‘living shoreline’ from Newhaven to Seaford and taking folk for walks and talks that include this.
Of course there are other fish involved, Bass chasing the Mackerel, Shads, Scads and more chasing the Whitebait. Dolphins and Threasher sharks further off shore and seals inshore. There is much much more than immediately meets the eye here and many more creatures are in this food chain. Flies on the dead washed up whitebaite and wolf spiders in the pebbles after the flies. Birds from the air, seals from the sea and humans from the land.
