"Happy New Year"

I trust you all survived the festive season? I had Covid and then Flu, proper Man flu it was!

but now, like a Greyhound in the starting trap; "Let the dog see the rabbit" as they say.

I have several exciting things on my list this year and fingers crossed you might be as interested in them as I am and come on one of several new Walks & Talks with me or even get a sneak preview by helping me film what I have show everyone?

I can't divulge too much information about some of the projects as they may take several seasons to complete and I don't want anyone else trying to beat me to the post.

Here's the first on my list. A crude little clip somebody took of me and two of my friends children watching Digger wasps on the way up to Seaford head on the cliff path. I'll tell you more after the video.

There are over 110 types of Digger wasp in Britain, according to Wikipedia. I'm not sure what these here are until they appear in the Spring but one thing I do know is that these fascinating and harmless little creatures are in need of help here. I've known they were her since I was a boy, there's a particularly suitable type od bare soil where they have their burrows but increasing numbers of tourists, hikers etc. are staying slightly from the path and accidently squashing them under foot!

My hope is to make a short documentary to show people and to ask the relevant authorities to fence them off.

Any help from anyone who reads this would be most appreciated.
